Lately, I have been increasingly getting the feeling that I am in a vacuum or waiting room. Like I packed all my stuff to move and left my old place behind, only to find out I don’t know where I’m moving to, let alone how to get there.

To create some clarity for myself, I looked again at the numerology of 2024 and suddenly I understood much better what actually is the essence of this year’s energy.

This year is an 8 year, like the lemniscate. The two sides of life, birth and death. The inner and outer world. The beginning and end of a cycle. Old and new. Hence the strongly transformative effect of the number 8.

In addition, this year there is a lot of influence from the number 4. This number shows itself as the great limiter. This certainly does not have to be just about limitations in the external world, but more as the framework of conditioning. It’s about what you think and believe is true, what you’ve learned, the programming that plays over and over again.

If you look at the lemniscate, it consists of two halves, which you can also see as two worlds of experience. One side is an experiential world, an information field, the experiential world in which you are now or at least partially in.

This world of experience contains all kinds of sub-realities, with which you may, or may not connect a little or a lot. There are people who are busy with religion, climate, politics or health. You may have a focus on world events, spiritual events such as the great reset, solar flares or the 5th dimension, or you may be concerned about money or the life direction you are seeking. This world of experience is located on the left side of the lemniscate.

There is an unprecedented amount of information in this world of experience, whatever you are interested in, you can find something about it. You can believe in science or you can believe in conspiracy theories, or whatever. You may believe that you can achieve anything through hard work or believe that you can only be happy if you don’t work, and everything in between. In this world everything moves in circles, within the boundaries of the domain. This year, the limitations of this reality that we all experience are very palpable. Politics does not make different or better decisions, regardless of the leading party, it moves in circles. We are moving from acid rain and holes in the ozone layer to nitrogen problems. You go from one job to another and every morning the alarm wakes you again, it moves in circles.

Everything seems to remain stuck, the limitation of a lack of time, money or life direction. It no longer motivates, as if the constantly repeating circle is slowly becoming boring. It causes dissatisfaction and frustration. Because everything works from the inside out, we see the current chaos on the world stage and the whole thing only becomes more confusing.

The point of choice

You and everyone else begins to move toward “the point of choice.” Choosing from an old and limited mindset, choosing what is known or safe or what pays your bills and calms your mind. Choose with your mind because you cannot see what other options are available. The point of choice is fearful, there is only an unknown outcome.

If you feel that whatever you are doing now no longer makes sense, that it no longer gives you satisfaction, or if you no longer have any idea what to believe or what direction you want to go in, when even the things that were felt good, now you suddenly don’t do that anymore, then you have arrived at the point of choice. Congratulations!

This year the point of choice is the big change or revolution. You and I, all of us, can only initiate this revolution based on our inner choice. Something needs to change in the world, we all feel that. You also feel deep in your being that something is not right and that something must or will change. And yes, that change starts with you!

You want to go from the old to the new. You stand with one foot in the world, trying to understand how everything works and how you can find your place in it. With your other foot you stand in this great emptyness. This can feel very overwhelming, fear can take your breath away at times. You want to know what that new thing looks like for you, what is the right direction on your path?

The void

Everyone moves towards it, the void, at their own time and time period. Where it feels like the old no longer fits. If you’ve hit a wall of emptiness that you can’t explain, you’ve arrived.

When will you arrive at that new phase, when will the insight or clear direction come?

This new phase is not new, it is already here. In essence, you already carry this completely with you, you already know where you will end up or what you will do. It is buried beneath limiting beliefs, beliefs and thought structures, beneath the stories of the world.

The task lies at this choice point of emptiness, in this sea of ​​uncertainty. Can you let go of the fact that you have to see the end of your own path? Can you view and transcend the stories of the world neutrally? Do you know what the future brings? Do you know how things are going to go? Or are the stories or sources of information from the old reality, the old field.

If you can complete it now, based on your current knowledge and skills, will you get the most suitable outcome? Or do you fill it in again from your known, limited vision? You can only live your life based on what you know. You fill in the new with the old, completing the circle.

Can you accept that this uncertainty is simply there now? The emptiness of not knowing can feel unbearable at times. However, you don’t have to know what you want or where you are going now.

It is tempting to set goals and make lists of priorities. It’s comforting to make plans so you can soothe your nagging insecurities. You will go through the same circle again, ending up with an indefinable feeling of restlessness, dissatisfaction, fatigue or fear. You can do it again, as many times as you want, with the same outcome every time. Time is a strange concept, because no matter how much time you need, you come back to the beginning of the circle. Is it starting to get boring yet?

Death

The number 8 is like the phoenix, it turns to ashes and then rises again. You cannot move through this point of choice without experiencing symbolic death. You have to let go of everything and let it go into ashes; no single, well-defined idea or line of thought can go along with it.

Not everyone goes through this process in the same way, not everyone consciously or unconsciously chooses this path. Realize that you are not the one who makes the choice to walk this path of death and rebirth, because your ego personality does not have much say in this matter. A situation may come your way that immediately brings you to this moment of choice, such as a burnout, a physical health issue or a personal loss. Something you did not see coming, but which completely undermines the foundations of your familiar world.

2024

This year many people will feel the limitation, the experience on the left side of the lemniscate is becoming increasingly intense. You have to be willing to let go. The reassurance of a new world or new direction is not yet there. You cannot bend or force that, but by letting go you create space. Space is all it takes, accept the uncertainty.

What thoughts do you have that limit you? What do you fear or resist? What persistent beliefs do you continue to defend?

Ultimately, there will be so many people who choose to let go and make space, people who choose to accept the emptiness. None of us know the outcome, except that we feel there will be a turnaround, one way or another. I don’t know what it looks like, I don’t know what it brings. I am no different in this than you are, willing to accept and have faith.

You are not alone in this void, even though it may feel that way to you. This moment of choice can feel like a particularly long, drawn-out process, so ask for help if it feels hopeless and talk about it with like-minded people. I can only reassure you of what I feel lies in the future, which feels immensely limitless and fantastic. Pure potential.

In all the years to come, where many are still coming to this point of choice, you will have to go through it soon, otherwise you would never have ended up here, at the end of this article. It is an experience path, you have to feel and experience it. And believe me, I know how difficult and hopeless this path can be, but it does get better.

The direction or role you hope to fulfill is on the other side. You too will eventually reach out to everyone who is going to take this step. Through your own experience you understand what it feels like and you cannot yet estimate the value of that experience. So breathe, it will be okay!
