Archangel Chamuel: What or who are you looking for?

“My grandfather and the guru of my revered guru Maharaj once learned that a great saint had moved to a town near them. They sought him out, intending to stay for ten days. After four days, the saint asked them why they had come and what they wanted from him. ‘We have heard that you are a great man of our time,’ they replied. ‘And since we are without guidance, we wished to ask you for a session and would like to stay with you.’ After fifteen or twenty minutes, the saint replied, ‘If I even focus my attention on you, you will not be able to bear it. My gaze is so powerful that if I look at a stone, I will split it in two.’” They went and searched for a stone, the largest they could lift, and they brought back one so heavy that they could only carry it with difficulty. This stone was placed before the saint. The saint looked at the stone, and it shattered at the first glance. My grandfather bowed low. ‘Sir,’ he said, ‘we have met a jester and magician in the guise of a saint.’ ‘Why do you speak like this?’ replied the saint with obvious displeasure. ‘People worship me as a great man.’ ‘Certainly, you are a great man. It takes great strength to perform such an act. But with all that strength, you cannot split a person’s heart. We are simple people. But we are capable of turning a person’s heart so that they will go on and on, further and further, to places no one can imagine.’ And with these words, they left the man. JJK: Isn’t the esoteric scene full of such “saints”? Sometimes I get the impression that the many “self-empowerment courses” are just disguised ego trips for those who offer them. We live in a time where everything exists, and in the spiritual market, those “masters” who use their abilities to “harbor disciples” predominate. Those who are able to “split open” the human heart are very rare. My question is, are false saints a danger to a seeker, or is error part of the search? Are detours part of the path, or could some things, including new karma, be avoided through greater mindfulness?

The human will controls

ARCHANGEL CHAMUEL: My light envelops those who are open to it, my light reaches the hearts that are ready, and my light pierces the darkness where people choose to live. This answers your question: Where there’s a will, there’s a way—this common saying is perfectly apt here. It is the human will that controls and attracts everything. Every person yearns in their own way for knowledge and spiritual experiences, and every person attracts what they are inwardly ready for. Those who do not wish to open their hearts but want to acquire certain abilities will go to a “saint,” as described in the introductory story. Thus, it is the individual who chooses a detour, and it is not fate that determines it. False saints, magicians and sorcerers, who can split stones but not human hearts, have always existed in this matrix.

Every person finds the master who meets their needs, and every master finds the students who meet their needs. In this way, masters and students often take circuitous routes.

The meaning of miracles

JJK: Jesus walked on water because, in my view, he wanted to set an example of trust in God for his disciples. The apostles were ordinary people, fishermen, who had no idea who Jesus was. The miracles Jesus performed strengthened the apostles’ trust in Jesus himself and in the message of the “Messiah.” My question is: When are miracles appropriate, and when are they unnecessary magic?

ARCHANGEL CHAMUEL: Miracles only have meaning when an individual needs a miracle to move forward. There are two reasons that must exist for a miracle to be justified:

1) When a miracle is the only means of waking up a person or group of people and sensitizing them to a spiritual perception.

2) When karma is to be redeemed on a large scale through a miracle.

A true saint handles miracles with great care and knows exactly when and where a miracle is needed. Saints who flaunt their abilities attract people who are still searching externally. Those who turn their attention inward have a completely different search and look elsewhere.

JJK: In this case, do master and student have a similar level of inner maturity? Both are oriented towards the external world.

Master-student relationships

ARCHANGEL CHAMUEL: On this level, yes. True masters know exactly why they accept a particular student. On the surface, some students may not seem mature enough for a master. That’s why most master-student relationships on this level are short-lived. True and profound master-student relationships, however, endure for many lifetimes, often lasting until the return to Oneness. In these relationships, the roles of teacher and student often alternate. It’s a give and take, a continuous learning process until everything possible on this level has been acquired.

JJK: Why are there so few serious seekers in this world? People who want to have their heart “split open” are very, very rare.

Why are there so few seekers?

ARCHANGEL CHAMUEL: This plane of existence offers humanity experiences. A virtually inexhaustible range of adventures awaits. Therefore, angelic beings embody humanity on this earth – and these adventures must be savored with body and soul; otherwise, a person will not be willing to exchange this life for another.

This plane of existence is home to people who want to savor this journey in all its facets. Those for whom this game is uninteresting are in the minority.

Only when a person loses interest in this earthly game can they become “spiritual.” Then the true master enters their life as if by itself, and then the spiritual path is truly walked. Neither can a fish live in the desert nor a camel on the ocean floor.

Jesus and Buddha

JJK: What task do or did true masters like Jesus or Buddha have?

When I think about how ignorant most people are, or how often true masters are misunderstood, I wonder what the point of such a life is if people want to go their own way far removed from spiritual perception?

ARCHANGEL CHAMUEL: True masters set anchors and points of light so that people, when they are ready, have a sense of direction. Without this light, no one would find their way out of this labyrinth of time. These are oases of liquid light that these masters anchor to Earth, so that those who will one day need them will not perish from thirst.

A master knows his tasks and fulfills them. Love flows ceaselessly until a human heart opens and can be torn apart. Be assured that even in this world, everything obeys divine laws. The many dramas are part of experience, and only those who relinquish their attachments to this world can enter the New World—far from fear and in freedom.

Mature students find mature masters, and those who have savored this game achieve their mastery in no time.

Ask yourself these questions: Where am I in this process? Am I still interested in the earthly game? What do I still want to experience in this world? What am I driven and drawn to, and what is my deepest longing?

A truly honest approach to yourself allows you to better understand the course of the world and your own life – and thus the answers to these questions lead you back to yourself.

I love you infinitely,
Archangel Chamuel
