Conditions are heating-up around the globe as world leaders vie for the number one spot on the planetary stage and are pushing for their agendas to be met, and each item on the “agenda” involves either economic, military, natural resource manipulation, or human brain and activity control — or all of this.

People are angry regarding certain persons having been elected in various political offices, are seeking revenge, are finding fault with anyone who disagrees with their policies, and in general, humanity is at what may be a final choice point before cataclysmic circumstances occur.

Teaching not only involves sharing new knowledge, but it also involves repeating certain vital information for emphasis. Ancient texts speak of cataclysms happening prior to the shifting into a higher time line.

More than once has the era of KALI YUGA (“Age of Chaos”) been discussed which humanity has moved out of as of the Equinox of “2025”. This is the most horrendous of the four ages according to Vedic revelations. It involves warfare, group hatred, disease, famine, destructive earthquakes, major volcanic eruptions, floods, medical malpractice, economic downturns, disrespect for elders, abuse of women and children, slaughtering of animals, unqualified leadership, material greed, vile scientific experimentation, poisoning of the environment, religious indoctrination, and spiritual bankruptcy.

So, the logical question is: ‘If we have left Kali Yuga, why has nothing changed? All that has been pointed out is still happening”. The response is yes, these situations are still happening.

Circumstances are the same because consciousness has not elevated enough in order for the era of DWAPARA YUGA — the definition of which is “two ahead” indicating that two more eras have yet to arrive which are TRETA YUGA and SATTVA YUGA.

Like a baby that has just existed the womb that cannot yet speak or do anything for itself but can only cry, release waste, suckle at its Mother’s breast, and shift its little body around — this is the newly “birthed” era. As the baby grows, she or he becomes gradually aware of likes and dislikes and starts to recognize familiar faces and objects and becomes comfortable or uncomfortable with what it experiences.

In DWAPARA YUGA only one-half of humanity are elevated and righteous. It is just a bit better than KALI YUGA when only one-fourth were righteous or even making an effort to be so.

As people head back to work and school next week after having celebrated the various holidays, there must be serious thought about our world’s happenings. We cannot just simply pray, meditate, and affirm what we wish to occur of righteousness and truth, although these are definitely wise actions to take and have certainly been discussed in previous articles.

We must, however, also realize that SOURCE is allowing the most prevalent levels of consciousness to play-out because that is how free will works. Here is another reminder that has been given more than once in “2025”, and it comes from the BHAGAVAD GITA: “Humanity has been accorded free will and thus may adopt whatever channel — good or bad — through which they want their lives to flow”. It is evident that not enough of the human collective has yet adopted a good channel.

Like links in a chain, if enough people decide to think of what they have to be grateful for, then work towards greater circumstances (through study, prayer, meditation, affirmations, appreciation for the good in all groups, and performing good deeds), then soon we will recognize a steady greater move into DWAPARA YUGA and eventually into TRETA YUGA and finally into SATTVA YUGA (the “Golden Age” that some persons think is already here — sorry to burst your bubble — but it is not!).

Use the balance of this month of January with its highly-charged cosmic events to make a “MAHAVRATA” (“Great Vow”). This is something that you promise the DIVINE SPIRIT (SOURCE) that you will regularly do to help the human collective to thrive.

If readers do not realize it yet, my “MAHAVRATA” is to assist in the elevation of planetary and galactic consciousness by teaching Divine Principles in an intellectual and scholarly manner. I do this in both written and oral form and by personal consultations.

A “MAHAVRATA” can be vowing to pray daily for global enlightenment or to help elders in some manner or to donate monthly to a respectable charitable organization or to prepare food for the hungry. It can, thus, be anything that assists in human elevation. It cannot be done to just make money although if people sometimes give you a gratefulness donation, this is fine.

After all, some things that you do may require money such as gasoline for your vehicle that you use to help others or for purchasing of food that you prepare for people, etc.

The point is that a ‘MAHAVRATA” is a very profound good deed — not a way for you to make regular monetary income. Unfortunately, there are persons who teach very wonderful information that is vital for the human collective to know, but they want to be regularly paid, and in some cases, via a substantial amount of money. That is not “MAHAVRATA”. That is a “job” or a “career” created to purposely make a regular monetary income.

Of course, as a Professor or Spiritual Leader, when you lecture or conduct a public seminar, for example, you should indeed be paid well for your time in research, travel, and teaching. Then some of your fee given to you can be used for some aspect of your “MAHAVRATA”. Some of us who do this, give monetary discounts as part of our total “MAHAVRATA” and dedicate the lecture or seminar as part of it. So, do whatever you desire, but make it something that will help others — not just yourself.

Again, use January of the new year of “2026” to develop your “MAHAVRATA”. The next Mercury Retrograde is February 25th to March 20th. Use that time to self-reflect on what you have thus far done as your “MAHAVRATA”. Then after the retrograde, make your “Great Vow” more activated. Your HIGHER SELF can help you in planning your special offering to the human collective because it will be the DIVINE SPIRIT — SOURCE — that will be your guide.
