Truthfulness, devotion, and perseverance—these are the qualities that matter now, at the end of the great cycle and the beginning of a new era. For humanity, there is nothing more important now than listening to and following one’s inner voice!
JJK: What if I can’t clearly hear my inner voice, or if foreign entities are impersonating my “inner voice”?
BABAJI: Then work on this issue until you have clarity, until you are sure, until you can distinguish your own voice from foreign whispers.
It’s simple, you just have to do it and remain unfazed by setbacks and mistakes.
Enlightenment is part of the path.
JJK: What strikes me is that so many people practice spiritual exercises, but in doing so, they lose sight of the joy of life – the fun. With the goal of enlightenment in mind, they don’t see the flowers along the way. “The journey is the destination,” they say, but what if people don’t even perceive the journey itself?
Personally, I don’t care about “enlightenment”; what’s important to me is living. Living my life, because the journey itself is what’s interesting; I’ll reach the destination anyway. Cutting oneself off from life, from experience, by spending more time in the meditation room—focused on enlightenment—than out in the world among people, is, in my view, a misguided path.
BABAJI: It is a mistake for someone who has already experienced detours.
Enlightenment is a goal for those who wish to bid farewell to life without having lived it.
Enlightenment happens after you have lived, and it happens all by itself.
Enlightenment doesn’t happen only at the destination, but is part of the journey.
JJK: Wow! Some readers are going to be gasping for breath now.
BABAJI: And they will delve deep, examining themselves until they find the key to a fulfilled life and enlightenment. Both belong together and have nothing to do with predetermined concepts or even with self-mortification.
Enlightenment is a gift from God, bestowed upon those who have lived and thus proven themselves worthy of it.
Path of Joy!
Live, rejoice and have fun…don’t cut yourselves off any longer from what makes life enjoyable.
Suffering, pain, and renunciation are misguided religious concepts that keep people away from abundance.
JJK: “Fun” is a word that resonates differently than the word “joy.” So, are we allowed to have quite mundane “fun” on the spiritual path?
BABAJI: Fun and wit will give you wings, and joy will make you fly. Fun is your birthright, wit is innate, laughter lightens your heart, removes heaviness from your soul, and brings lightness to life. Just have fun!
JJK: And the joy?
BABAJI: Is the light in your heart, so that the soul can breathe and love.
The spiritual path is a path of joy; anything else means you are lost.
God knows you and God blesses you. It’s time to accept ALL gifts. For fun, wit, humor, and joy have been inherent in humankind since the beginning of time.
The grace of God is omnipresent on earth, and in the grace of God you are safe!
