The release of “Project Hail Mary” resonates with many. There is hope as portrayed in the movie bleeding into the consciousness of many (imo).
I propose a deeper cause for the persisting evil alien thesis.
Seeing it simply as mind-programming by ‘certain dark forces’ is kind of pointless: if these have any inkling of genetics external to Earth – and most people certainly do – you could say that these dark forces are the evil aliens themselves. Whether they are aware of this or not seems like the most pertinent issue, in this time of revelations.
The fear of ‘invading aliens’ reflects a society or person that has no legitimate roots wherever it claims to reside, be it a country or a planet. Deep down, they ARE the invading aliens they fear or hate. Programming is self-made, all the ‘dark forces’ have to do is stir a bit for this complex to surface.
