As we continue to re-write the rule books of our lives, there is a sense that we are beginning to think about the bigger picture, from the paths we walk, to the people we interact with, everything is under the microscope for re-evaluation and re-assessment. It’s as though we have reached a time of inner reckoning to declare to the universe what’s important and what isn’t, it’s a time to let go of the clutter and distractions in order to focus on the things that truly matter.
For so long we have been lost in a haze of things to do and things to achieve in order to feel better about ourselves. It’s as though we hold a measuring stick up against ourselves and feel like we cannot be happy or content until we have ticked off a long list of goals, most of which, when we pause to think about them, mean very little. There’s such a strong focus on material gain that many have lost sight of spiritual, emotional and creative well-being. It’s as though we’ve become caught up in the wheels of the 21st century where the need to do more, be more and achieve more is the only way to know we’ve ‘made it’ to the promised land of contentment, yet, when we step back a little, we know that life really isn’t about what we have, it’s about how we live and how we feel in our hearts and souls. It’s about the value of the interactions we have with others, not the number of interactions we have. It’s about the attainment of happiness isn’t it?
September looks set to be a month of continued letting go as we break through the layers within and start to feel the true nature of reconnection to our spiritual selves. In the humdrum distraction of everyday life, it’s easy to forget that we were born as connected and integral parts of the universe. It’s easy to forget the magic of watching a sunset or the joy of listening to a bird in song. Even though we may not be able to live in a continued state of joy, it’s important to take time each day, even a few minutes, to remember the wonder of being alive. Life can be full of challenges and it can be overwhelming; over time, this can define the nature of our lives, yet as spiritual beings, surely we can embrace our divinity and reconnect to the wonder of life?
It’s time for the light of our souls to shine brightly once again as we look beyond the confines of our everyday lives in order to wholeheartedly love and value life. This doesn’t magically eradicate the challenges, but unless we reconnect to the magic and wonder, then how can we be truly free? Acknowledging our foibles and our faults takes courage and strength, but it’s our willingness to accept our imperfections and our desire to want to change that allows us to evolve and grow. Inevitably this involves an element of vulnerability as we expose the underbellies of our souls and reveal our perfect imperfections for all to see, but this is a part of the path towards freedom as we unshackle ourselves from the façade of perfection.
The more willing we are to fully awaken and to face the truth of the choices we make and do not make, then the more we realise that it is possible to break free from the confines of our everyday lives in order to live in more enriching ways. No one can know what lies around the next corner, all we have is now, and it’s how we each choose to live in this very moment that matters the most.
It is time to be open, to be true and to be you…
I wish you all kinds of wonderful.
You have spent a great deal of your life trying to live the best life possible: you have tried to keep everyone happy, you have tried to do what you thought others wanted of you and you have tried to be everything to everyone. As a result, you have learned a great deal about your true priorities, as well as learning how difficult the art of people pleasing can be! Whilst you are never one to shirk from responsibility or dodge duty, there is a sense that you have been longing for the open road for quite some time. Not so much escaping from your life, but creating more space in your heart and soul. At the moment, there’s a sense that you feel hemmed in and tethered, and the weight of your life feels quite heavy and cumbersome; you want to shake yourself free in order to breathe more deeply and wholeheartedly.
In many ways you have become the victim of your own success as you have become so good at being everything to everyone that you have become disconnected from the truth of why you do the things you do. It’s as though your passion and effervescence has faded and the fizz has gone flat; your usual magic and sparkle is absent. Although you’ve ignored this for a while, your ability to keep on keeping on is waning as you realise that it’s time for you to reset the balance of your life in order to reclaim that fizz and to refocus on your true priorities. Whilst you will always try to keep everyone happy, there comes a time when you also have to consider your own needs. It’s time to think about what brings you joy in order to move forwards with passion, vision and inspiration…
September looks set to be a month for you to start asking yourself some important questions: what makes you happy? What brings you joy? What are your true priorities? What makes your heart sing and your soul buzz? You have spent so long trying to be the best version of yourself that you can be that you forgot to keep one eye on the road map of your life. Whilst you have inevitably veered off course, this doesn’t mean you’ve gone ‘wrong’, it just means that you’ve ended up somewhere other than where you planned to be. So, it’s time to pause for a while in order to think about why you do the things that you do and why you make the choices you make. Spending some time focusing on yourself is neither self-indulgent nor selfish as you really need to regain some clarity in terms of what you truly want from life.
You have reached a crossroads and it’s time for you to acknowledge your own self-worth and to turn the light of compassion towards your own heart and soul. Life doesn’t have to always be about doing more, achieving more and being more, sometimes it’s about realising that you are already enough. This isn’t giving up or giving in, nor is it walking away from your dreams, it’s more about acknowledging the here and now as a valid and important part of your life rather than always keeping your focus on the horizon of where you feel you need to be. You have been the glue that holds everything and everyone together for so long that you have forgotten what it feels like to be fluid and free. So, step back from the storylines for a while and shift the focus within in order to listen to yourself, love yourself and honour yourself…
As you continue to ride the ebb and flow of life more consciously, there is a sense that you are beginning to wholeheartedly accept the fact that you can’t always find the answers to the questions you seek in life. Whilst this is something you already know, there has been a part of you still determined to push for answers to the many questions you still have as to why things are the way they are. Although you thrive with the unknowable nature of existence as it gives your intuition and inspiration room to blossom and flourish, you still long to explore the edges in order to gain more wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Yet, even though you know the edges are unknowable, you still want to explore them! This isn’t you being fickle or pig-headed, it’s a reflection of your desire to understand the workings of the universe, in particular, human nature.
You know that the day you give up pondering and wondering, is the day your soul starts to recede and fade. However, life is all about balance, and there are times when finding peace with not knowing is actually more nourishing than pushing for clarity. Your intuition is phenomenal, and it would do you good to listen to it more often as you already know all of this, you just need to acknowledge it and turn towards it with an open heart. September looks set to be a month to rest for a while in order to take in the scenery of the bigger picture of your life and breathe more deeply, re-balancing your body, mind and soul. It’s time now to find peace, strength and wisdom in each and every moment as you let your intuition lead the way…
As you continue to awaken from autopilot, and stir from keeping on keeping on, you have started to take a long, hard look at your life. There is a sense that you are beginning to realise that the life you are now living doesn’t quite match the life you dreamed of living back in the day. Of course, this is to be expected, after all, life is unpredictable and unknowable, but this realisation goes beyond the conscious and deep into the core of your being; it’s a sense that the life you are living doesn’t quite illuminate your essence or set your soul on fire. There’s a somewhat nebulous sense of lack that you can’t quite put your finger on, but it’s floating around your consciousness, nudging you in the ribs every so often, asking you to look at the bigger picture of your life.
This is something you tend to ignore as it can place you in the uncomfortable position of seeing exactly why things feel out of balance, and knowing the reason then means you really should do something about it, but you are reluctant to upset the apple cart of your life. Yet, this is black and white thinking as life isn’t about one or the other, it’s about both; life is a dichotomy of choices and a fusion of decisions, and it’s about being you and finding ways to live with joy. So, it could be that you need to make some changes in order to find joy, but until you acknowledge this, how can you know? In other words, avoiding the issue isn’t helping! Your intentions are admirable, after all you know that upsetting the apple cart affects others as well as yourself, but don’t you owe it to yourself to live the best life possible…
As you continue to explore your true essence, there is a sense that you are beginning a journey of intense self-discovery as you reclaim your sense of self and reconnect to your passion, creativity and determination. September looks set to be a month of transformation for you as you step towards a new path in life, one that you have been thinking about for so long. This may not necessarily mean physical changes to your path in terms of work, relationships etc, it could be a new way of thinking or a different way of being, but the shift feels quite dramatic and inspirational as you step from where you are to where you want to be. Of course, this involves the need for you to know where you want to be and whilst you have always had dreams and goals, it’s time to sharpen and hone these now in order to make sure that where you think you want to be is definitely where you want to be.
You are a vibrant, passionate, sparkling and creative soul, and your depths are endless. Whilst you know this, you seem to struggle to wholeheartedly embrace the truth of your gifts and let them shine. The reasons for this seem complex and are partly related to your tendency to try to be the person you think everyone else wants you to be as you feel this doesn’t leave room for you, but it’s also connected to a layer of doubt where you’re unsure if you’re ready to step out into the sunshine and roar with pride as you embrace your true nature. Only you can find peace with being you, but know that you are vibrant, beautiful and amazing, and it’s time to live the life you intuitively know you were born to live…
You have always been one of life’s thinkers. You ponder the macrocosm and the microcosm, the bigger picture and the finer details. No detail is too small and no concept too vast as you often find yourself exploring the subtler, more hidden meanings in life. Whilst this brings you understanding and wisdom, it can sometimes leave you feeling frustrated with the more mundane, pedestrian aspects of life such as the washing up or grocery shopping! There are times when you feel overwhelmed with the apparent complexity of life, longing for simplicity and clarity, yet it’s your tendency to think so deeply that adds the complexity! No one ever said it was easy being you! Of course, you cannot switch off the way you think and nor should you as you are a vibrant, intuitive soul, yet there are times when you need to turn down the volume a little in order to find some breathing space. Sometimes less is more, and whilst you will always be inquisitive and questioning, it’s time to spend at least a little time in quiet reflection, just resting in the moment, breathing deeply; without asking why.
September looks set to be a month of transformation as you open up your heart and soul towards living a simpler, but more enriching life. Although this isn’t as clear cut as stepping from here to there due to the nature of being human, this desire is gaining in both strength and momentum as you open up to the possibility that achieving this dream is not only viable, but seemingly extremely possible at the same time. Try not to over-think and over-analyse this process and take your time to learn the art of finding contentment in the quiet moments and breathing into the stillness. Trust your intuition to lead the way…
The charge for simplicity leads the way throughout September as you seek out new ways to untangle the complexity of your life. You want more space to breathe and more time to be creative, and you’re ready now to weave this consciously into all areas of your life. You know this will take dedication and motivation, but you seem so ready now. When you pause and re-connect to your consciousness, you intuitively know that there are times to push the accelerator in life and there are times to glide along with the currents. In many ways, this is a time to glide as you sense that pushing too hard at the moment could muddy the waters and lead to some confusion as to what happens next. Yet, gliding doesn’t mean doing nothing, it simply means pushing less hard, observing more and becoming one with the currents. This may feel counter-intuitive for you as you would so prefer to be at the helm of the ship of your life, but have faith in yourself and stop feeling at odds with all of this as you are already gliding with true majesty! In other words, you already know what to do, you just need to do it!
So, instead of trying to pull yourself in different directions or trying to over-think the process, listen to the depths of your soul and make friends with your true essence. It’s time to be inspired and empowered by being yourself, and the simpler the better, as you are ready to de-clutter your life from the inside, out. There may be times when it feels as though your inner and outer worlds are clashing, but at a deeper level you will see that the outer is purely a reflection of the oscillation of your state of being. Just breathe deeply and trust the process…
As you continue to contemplate change, impermanence and uncertainty in life, there is a sense that you are beginning to find peace with the true fluidity of being human. Although there is a part of you that longs to know what’s around the corner, in truth, you are happier taking each day as it comes as the free spirit in you wants to break away from the tethers of everyday life in order to soar high into the sky. It’s not easy wholeheartedly embracing fluidity as it means opening up to spontaneity and the unknown far more, yet this is what your soul longs for, so is it not a match made in heaven? Of course, what your soul longs for doesn’t always fit perfectly into the reality of life as there are always things to do, people to see and places to go. As a result, your life can feel cluttered and it can be hard to see how fluidity can find its place.
Yet, this is a bit ‘chicken and egg’ as unless you open up to fluidity then how can you create more space and less clutter? It can admittedly be hard saying no to many of those commitments in your diary and it can be a challenge seeking out space in life as relatively few others can truly understand exactly what it is you’re after which is a state of being, not a state of doing. It’s important to realise that this is about you, it’s not about what others think or understand. This is an opportunity for you to re-shape and re-define your life and your path ahead. Going with the flow takes courage, and it also takes wisdom to know when to flow and when to step in, but you have both in abundance, so believe in yourself and fly high…
There is a longing at the core of your being to find a deeper sense of connection within your heart and soul, to spend more time with the elements and to have the space and freedom to let your imagination and creativity flow without hindrance. The path you walk is one of self-discovery and self-awakening, and you are open to the infinite possibility of life. Yet, you often find yourself bogged down in the humdrum of the ‘every day’, feeling tethered to ‘normality’ and unable to express your true nature. When it comes to knowing yourself and being yourself, you frequently lose sight of your true radiance and effervescence, as you carry quite a substantial helping of self-doubt as you feel you need to do more, be more and achieve more in order to meet the lofty expectations you have for yourself.
When you look up at that pedestal you have placed your dreams upon, instead of realising that you already have everything you need in order to be happy, you focus on the gap, on what’s missing and on what you’re not. Whilst this is a natural human tendency, you need to stop being so self-critical and self-judgemental and start appreciating just how gifted you truly are. In many ways you keep that pedestal out of your reach because you don’t believe in yourself enough to sit on it; you question your talent and doubt your gifts. You not only have the gifts and talent to sit on that pedestal right now, you also have the skill and innovation to bring it within your reach; you just have to decide that you’re ready to be the person you’ve always aspired to be. Don’t feel like you’re not good enough because you know that you absolutely are! You’re ready now for the infinite potential of being you…
As you continue to ponder the wisdom you have accrued from embracing the imperfection of being human, there is a sense that you are starting to tap into a deeper layer of peace within your heart and soul as you seek out more balance in your life. Whilst you’ve always acknowledged the fact that being imperfect is a part of life, there is a part of you that seeks to master the art of perfectionism which is what drives your quest to be the best that you can be. As a result, there are times when you sense an internal conflict between acceptance and resistance, perfection and imperfection, and in many ways this is head versus heart, intuition versus logic. Sometimes this can feel overwhelming as you wonder how to move forwards in life, but when you take a deep breath, your intuition kicks in, giving you a sense of how to proceed.
It would therefore be easy to say that you should just listen to your intuition and everything will be fine, and whilst this is likely the case, there are always distractions that disturb your intuitive flow, from the needs/thoughts of others, to everyday obstacles or challenges. Clearly you can’t just ignore these distractions so it’s important to find a way to navigate through life taking each day as it comes, knowing that some days your intuition will flow freely and other days it won’t. The more you can accept the natural oscillation of life, the closer you will be to achieving the sense of balance that you need now. September looks set to be a month driven by an emerging wave of self-awareness as you begin to contemplate the bigger picture of your life. So, step back a little and feel the rays of the new dawn sun shining on your heart and soul…
As you continue to ponder what you truly want from life, there is a sense that you have reached something of a crossroads between what you’ve always felt you wanted and what you now realise you actually want. There are many reasons for this, many of them are connected to your tendency to try to be everything to everyone which has resulted in your dreams being ‘clouded’ by the wants, wishes and needs of others, as well as a plethora of ‘ought’s’ that you have thrown in for good measure. In short, over the years, your dreams became less about what you truly wanted and more about what you felt you ought to want. Over recent months you have had some time and space to step back a little in order to see the bigger picture of your life and this has led you to see things more clearly. As a result, you are beginning to think about your true priorities and to contemplate what makes your heart sing.
You are wise enough to realise that this doesn’t mean you can dance off into the sunset and forget about everything (and everyone) else, as life is all about interaction and connection. Whilst this complicates things, it doesn’t mean that you can’t allow your heart to sing. You have finally reached a point where you are prioritising your own needs more and re-shaping what you truly want. What you truly want from life may seem a little frivolous when there are bills to pay and mouths to feed, but if everyone stopped themselves from striding towards their dreams then we would live in a very different world. It’s time to believe in yourself, to listen to yourself and to know that you have the skill and innovation to find new ways to flourish and blossom…
Your life is always stuffed full of things to do, people to see and places to go, so much so that you can sometimes feel completely overwhelmed by the lack of space or time to yourself. Your diary is a ramshackle, chaotic scribble of clutter! It’s easy to see why you would feel overwhelmed, but it’s important to realise that you are the one that makes those commitments and fills up the pages. Of course, this is perfectly understandable as you love to help others and you love to be busy, yet in a completely paradoxical twist, you also need space and tranquillity! The most obvious solution would be to clear your diary and enjoy doing nothing but doing nothing really isn’t your cup of tea. So, balance is the name of the game.
Say yes to things you truly want to do and say yes to the things you really really have/need to do but know that it’s okay to say no and to cultivate time for yourself. This time doesn’t have to be sitting legs crossed in zen-like contemplation (but if it floats your boat, then go for it), it’s more about being in your own space, doing something because you want to do it and knowing that the world will continue to turn if you say no. It’s time to be more honest with yourself and acknowledge that you often agree to commitments because being busy means less time thinking about your own needs and wants, and how out of reach they feel. Yet, the less time you have to contemplate what you really want, how can you ever move closer to achieving them? It’s time to re-connect to the truth of your essence and to acknowledge why you do the things you do. It’s then time to create change and to set yourself free.
