From ‘America First’ to Economic Implosion

By Finn Heartley | Source

Trump’s tariffs and docking penalties disrupt U.S. supply chains, forcing importers to abandon cargo. Retailers face shortages as goods like medical supplies and auto parts are rerouted to Mexico and Canada.

Doubts about the U.S. economy drive gold prices higher. Trump’s rumored policies, like UBI and massive tax refunds, could trigger hyperinflation, accelerating a global shift away from the dollar.

China mitigates tariff losses by redirecting exports to other markets, while Americans endure price spikes and scarcity. Domestic unrest grows, with protests targeting wealth symbols like Tesla dealerships.

Trump’s proposed tax refunds may temporarily ease voter anger but risk worsening inflation. Critics call it “Keynesian overreach,” prioritizing short-term gains over long-term stability.

The U.S. risks losing dollar dominance as gold hits record highs and allies adopt alternative currencies. Cutting ties with China’s manufacturing base backfires, leaving economic chaos in its wake.

The Trump administration’s aggressive trade policies, including punitive tariffs on Chinese imports and new docking penalties for Chinese-made ships, are triggering a catastrophic breakdown in U.S. supply chains. With importers abandoning cargo rather than paying steep fees, retailers face empty shelves, and essential goods—from medical supplies to auto parts—are being diverted to Mexico and Canada. Critics argue that Trump’s assumption that American manufacturing can replace China’s infrastructure overnight is “magical thinking,” risking a deeper crisis than the Great Depression.

Gold soars as Dollar Faces Existential Threat

As faith in the U.S. economy erodes, gold prices are surging. Analysts warn that Trump’s rumored fiscal measures—including Universal Basic Income (UBI) and massive tax refunds—could flood the economy with liquidity, triggering hyperinflation. The administration’s reliance on “magic money machines” (central bank printing) risks accelerating a global flight from the dollar, with nations like China already pivoting to alternative currencies. Historical precedent suggests such policies could devalue the dollar by half, making tangible assets like gold the only safe haven.

China’s Pivot and the Looming Domestic Crisis

While China absorbs short-term losses by rerouting exports to other markets, Americans face soaring prices and scarcity. The left-wing backlash could escalate into widespread civil unrest, with radical groups targeting symbols of wealth like Tesla dealerships. Meanwhile, Trump’s proposed tax refunds—potentially worth years of income—may temporarily placate voters but could worsen inflation, leaving the working class stranded. Critics liken the strategy to “Keynesian overreach,” with long-term stability sacrificed for short-term political gain.

Conclusion: A High-Stakes Gamble

Trump’s policies, marketed as economic nationalism, risk destabilizing the dollar’s global dominance and triggering domestic turmoil. As gold climbs above $6,000/oz and allies abandon the greenback, the administration’s third “secret weapon”—a potential multi-year tax refund—could either stave off revolt or seal the dollar’s demise. With China laughing its way to new trade partners, the U.S. may soon confront a bitter truth: cutting off the world’s factory has consequences. For now, the only certainty is chaos—and a rush to buy anything that isn’t Federal Reserve paper.

We know what’s been going on for decades has been terrible. We need a change, and if that change upsets a few people at the beginning, so what. Pining for illuminati to come back again is Very short sighted, IMO.

Take a broader view. Whenever the cabal and their brainwashed minions are against something, to me that means its good

      Hi thedave😁

I read your comment this morning, but I have so much emptiness, with no “new” incoming, coming in🤤…ugh

Do you remember ever watching The Langoliers? The tv 2 part movie, Stephen King.

I have an active imagination, I’m beginning to think I can hear the Langoliers, gobbling up the past, as a courtesy to the future.

Dave, did you ever see this movie? Where are the bees? I’m beginning to think I can hear the Langoliers!

It’s possible I’ve ingested too much tv 🤭❣️💎

I’m glad to see a fresh comment from you.😁

The thing is that the cabal has always played both sides. So I understand the skepticism. Good thing is : I don’t really care, I am not putting my hopes on any politician. If some good things come, good. If not, no big deal.

Trump has floated the idea of giving back 400 Billion of the 2 Trillion DOGE thinks they can save in the form of 5000 dollar stimulus checks. So far DOGE has managed to save 55 billion, so this is all another smoke grenade. It’s all bullshit folks as George Carlin used to say.

Also, how does $5000 qualify as a multi-year tax refund? I pay more taxes than that in 3 months.

All hat, no cattle, our beloved Trumpy Bear.

The crazy republican push to hand out a stimulas only applies for people earning 40,000 and above, to the upper wealthy. It will not apply to the poor, it has nothing to do with the poor even though everybody in the U.S. pays federal taxes. Republicans said it is only for 40,000 and above because they feel they pay more.

Years ago I was given the revelation that Trump was an emanation of Lord Shiva, god of Destruction/Transformation here at the end of the Iron Age.

Trump is indeed a planetary force of both chaos and change, larger than life, able to affect the whole globe with a few words. Breaking all the old molds, norms, and customs both helpful and harmful – an equal-opportunity disruptor!

That’s why some adore him as their savior, while others abhor him for harming Gaia/Nature and the most vulnerable among us.

But he’s waking everyone up, for sure! No one can stay asleep around this fellow!

      Very well said, SwanDove-

I’m very glad this author doesn’t make any decisions for this country beyond voting!

Trump is too extreme for some, but that extremeness is just a reflection of the dire circumstances the world, and our once sane country, is in.

And bless him, this Finn Hartley has truly created a fine work of fear encoded fiction…I’m impressed! 🤩🤭💎
