The Silent Ego

By Owen Waters | Source

In today’s culture, the word ego is usually applied to dysfunctional personality traits. If a person is controlling, obnoxious or throws a temper tantrum, their ego is said to be to blame.

Dysfunctional attributes of the ego spring from the Old Reality of separation consciousness. Humankind has spent thousands of years exploring the effects of separation from other people, separation from other states of consciousness, and separation from the spiritual source within.

Separation consciousness causes deep-seated fears; fears that there will not be enough love, land, or resources. From these fears spring jealousy, greed and aggression. It is little wonder that, after thousands of years of nightmarish consequences, humankind is ready to move on to the healing phase of existence upon Earth.

The emerging New Reality brings heart-centered consciousness. The keyword of the new consciousness is integration, not separation. Over the coming decades and centuries, humankind will find ways to resolve differences and issues of separation in ways that are inspired by unconditional love and compassion. Violence may beget violence, but it is based upon the illusion of lack. Love begets love and, being based upon a very real component of Creation, it has the real power.

In the Old Reality, priests would work on being in control of their congregations by berating them with accusations that they are worthless sinners. These days, some teachers who claim to be spiritual berate their audiences with accusations that they have bad ego problems. In fact, they claim, having any ego at all is bad, bad, bad. People in the audience, even gentle souls with wonderful hearts, are then supposed to begin to doubt themselves. After all, they suppose, the allegedly enlightened teacher must know better than they. And, so, the worm of control begins to work its way into their minds.

The New Reality is not about power over anyone. It is about self-empowerment, and it’s about power with everyone, not against them. The ego of a spiritual person is not a problem. It is an essential part of the human system, created expressly by the Creator of all life in order for it to experience self-consciousness from an infinite number of viewpoints.

Infinite Being is the all-encompassing consciousness from which the universe was created. Everything in the universe is made of consciousness. Just as each snowflake is unique, so is each person. Your primary purpose in life is to experience life from one individual, unique point of view.

You cannot cut off a part of yourself. The ego cannot be cast away and forgotten. It is your essential sense of identity. Even if someone were successful in casting away a part of themself, there would come a time when they would have to retrieve that lost part and integrate it back into themselves in a healthy, holistic manner.

You are an expression of Infinite Being as it experiences itself from all possible viewpoints. The best way you can serve yourself and Infinite Being, the source within us all, is to live your life to your own, personal, highest potential.

And be sure to celebrate who you are, because there is no one exactly like you in the entire universe.

The current conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at the start of the Zodiac presents an unique opportunity to deeply understand what the Ego is and what it is meant to do.

It indeed ‘dies’ as part of the alchemic process, for it represents a constant separation from a larger consciousness – a chrysalis, if you will.
But it shouldn’t be ‘killed’ before whatever is inside is ready to survive on it’s own, so to speak. If an individuality hasn’t matured structurally, it will dissolve back into the big Sea, ‘uncreated’.

Neptune transcends barriers, it shows glimpses of the bigger picture without destroying the chrysalis. So this is a great moment to look at your own Ego: is it protecting you from harm or preventing you from growing?

This dialogue from “Stranger Than Fiction”(2006) seems like Saturn talking to Neptune, or the Ego as it first learns it’s role:

Wow, K, I really enjoyed this movie, and will watch it again; I cried towards the ending 🥹

Watching it with the ego death insight is important for me, I’m not clever enough to grasp that on my own🤭

However, it confirms to me the beauty of the process, that we think we innerstand.

“I” do not grieve for previous versions of myself, “I “ am simply a more distilled version.

I can look with fondness at any version of myself, even though I have no intention of going back to it.

Perhaps I’m not getting the point of this movie, or of conversations it’s provoked 😁…. I’m simpler on average than any of you, I don’t mind☺️

But when Crick chose the road leading to his exit, he distilled out from his previous self, in an instant.

          I don’t mind being corrected on my interpretation;
it’s the essence of ourselves we are after, however; I don’t see or smell any
          “death of self” in that!!!

[MuuuuAAAAHHHHLil💎.💎.💎.💎.💎……. what you said was WOOOONDERWONDERWONNNDERFULLLL😁😁😁😁 and I would not have BELIIIEVED it if it had come from anybody else❣️❣️❣️❣️

            Still ininintegrating that stuff😘]

So💎: As usually integrating A new FREQUENCY took nearly 24 hours… only this time it was sooo much more… I COULD SEE how the “that process works” and “WHY I” was IMMEDIATELY able to do it right after “my I had expired”… back then I was often “silently” flabbergasted… “SILENT EGO”… I’m lost for good enough words🫠🫠, really…

What made it so different this time “came via you”… AND Big John of course… [“in my world” “_nothing_ works without citing sources”😉]… the moment I read “However, it confirms to me THE BEAUTY of the process…” I saw it too🤩😵‍💫🤩… before I only new its “ugly side”😍😍.

Then “The Writer” wanted me “to realize a few closer connections”: It was only “VIA KRYON” that I knew how complicated this process would be, but thankfully in one of Lees early books he’d given a VERY HELPFUL metaphor in regards to this “tricky bit”🙏🙏🙏.

Yet the best transcended itself at the very end, and I can hardly believe “HOWWW”!?!? I was never able to grasp it before… “THAT FEEEELING” though, is even more disclosing than what it came from💘💘💘.

            Enough.

I’m so confused. HS blocked my first reply. Sure, I said a thing or two, sure, I admitted a frailty, here and there…..but enough to block???

        I’ll watch the movie ♥️💎🍿

Incidentally, ‘blocking frailty’ is very Saturn, and ‘movie’ is very Neptune. 😆
It’s just a silly comedy, but I found myself surprisingly moved by the symbolism. Worth at least reading the full synopsis and some scenes on YT if you have the time.

The teacher arrives when the student is ready. My mind is spinning! 🤯

Harold, sleepwalking for most of his story, until he finally begins to hear the little voice from back of his mind 🤤😁

I wondered…..is my next highest in line evolving regarding how she feels/treats/doesn’t bother to feel, about this spark’s story?⏳⌛️💔💞

Is it possible for a cool as cucumber Observer, reporting back to “Home Office” to experience an unplanned upgrade ?
            Ripples, overlapping ripples……🕊️🌅

How many other characters in the movie, are hearing the narrator but🤐

The bakers character was toxic matrix based😂😂😂 I realized, when I woke up this morning.

            ✨🙏🏻💕💖💞💎✨

            ✨😁😁😁🥰✨

I really took to this movie, John, thanks♥️

I really related to Harold’s lifeless existence, I’ve felt like a poorly fleshed out fictional character for decades, ha😂

I’ve noticed a thing or two, that was subtle, but have given me a little bit of confidence in myself, to continue distilling into my eventual essence 🥰

…. And, if I’m not quite capable of grasping some of the intricacies you guys can….that’s okay!
We’re all meant to be different together 🤭♥️💎

I don’t think there’s a ‘correct interpretation’ here, and I had no idea what moved me so much about it until much later… it was the writer-character relationship as an Ego-higherSelf analogy. They start as complete strangers, and eventually you realize that the character indeed IS an aspect of the writer, because she’s also always following a repetitive pattern in her works.

As a character we’re often baffled as to why our ‘writer’ makes the decisions it does – revolted even -, but when they show us the big picture… it’s so beautiful that we happily surrender to their plans. And this decision to work together is a literal sacrifice – as in ‘to make sacred’ – changing both the players and the plan for the better; but enough spoilers here. Glad you enjoyed it your way!

Hmm, yes, I don’t feel resentful towards a callous HS. Feels more like a friend now….I wonder where the resentment went, I didn’t notice it go.

            ♥️💎

I couldn’t connect the writer with Harold, she was so neurotic, and he was so vacant!
But yes, repetitive patterns, each. Incomplete.

            Thanks!

Thanks, John😳… I knew I had to comment here, but what had come up so far felt like 😖😖😖… until now:

What you’re saying LITERALLY applies to me: “I” will “die”, and so my funeral is already paid for and the perfect place for my ashes is known.

I’d never before looked for the hidden reasons behind these arrangements, BUT NOW I SEE them🙏🤝.

“Inside I’m kind of chuckling”🤭🤭… realizing “_HOW_ THAT MAKES SENSE”… and I can also only agree with what you said about
“If an individuality hasn’t matured FULLY…”❣️

      Again… thank you Big John❤️.

There’s a new gorilla every time you look now, eh? It’s amazing how accepting ‘death’ is our only chance to actually live for something.

Agreed, while I still get triggered by topics, they are shadows, and will heal at some point.

But ridding myself of myself, never made sense to me.
I def felt resistance to this hard push for total ego removal. Nonsense.

Besides, ascension in body isn’t to save this dense matter, it’s a courtesy from source, in my mind. After what we’ve all been through, our will to live deserves love and respect, from source itself 💎
