Good message. But it is much harder to stay centered when instability is not abstract, but actively engineered. Some actors do intentionally provoke, some are incentivized,
some people are mobilized through grievance and identity conditioning.
Most people involved are not villains — they are operating inside belief ecosystems that reward hostility, simplify moral complexity and externalize blame. That doesn’t excuse harm. But it explains why compassion alone often fails.
I will also add that staying calm does not mean tolerating abuse, excusing destruction, pretending bad actors don’t exist and absorbing endless provocation.
Discernment includes recognizing manipulation, incentives, and deliberate agitation. Compassion can coexist with firmness, boundaries, and refusal to legitimize harm.
