The Moon Is Actively Cracking

By Science & Astronomy | Source

Scientists have discovered that the Moon is not a completely “dead” world as once believed. New images and data reveal fresh faults, cracks, and steep cliffs on its surface clear signs that the Moon is still shrinking and changing today.

As the Moon slowly cools over billions of years, its interior contracts. This causes the outer crust to buckle and break, forming features called lobate scarps small cliffs created by tectonic stress. Some of these cliffs are surprisingly young in geological terms, meaning the process is still ongoing.

Even more fascinating, these shrinking motions can trigger moonquakes. While much weaker than earthquakes on Earth, they show that the Moon still has internal activity. Many of these faults cut through recent impact craters, proving they formed after those craters another sign of recent movement.

This discovery changes how scientists understand the Moon. It’s not just a frozen relic of the past, but a slowly evolving world. These active regions are also important for future lunar missions, as they help researchers identify areas that may be geologically unstable or scientifically valuable.

The Moon may look calm and unchanging from Earth, but up close, it’s still quietly cracking, shifting and reshaping itself.

The moon is falling apart because it’s a dying relic, a repurposed biosphere that holds the dark matrix technology whose time has run out, much like the “science” trying to hide truth or explain what it does not understand.
