Mercury enters the Sun and Jupiter stations Direct

On February 27th, Mars perfected its square to Uranus, and then proceeded to transit the Solar Eclipse point at 28º Aquarius 56’. On their own eclipses can be oh, so unpredictable. And as Mars came to these points last week, it served as a catalyst for all of that pent up Eclipse and Uranian energy, just waiting for the spark to ignite the impending explosion. And so here we are. The consequences of actions committed in eclipse season are just so unpredictable! And know that we are not yet through the chaos and the mire.

On March 13th Mars will make an exact conjunction to the True North Node. It will then go on to oppose the Lunar Eclipse point at the next New Moon. Retrograde Mercury will oppose the Lunar Eclipse point this week, before it stations at the True North Node on the 20th March. When you see so much activity involving the eclipses and the Nodes of the Moon, you know that we are at a critical point in time, in which our actions, hearts and minds are being weighed in the balance against the feather of Ma’at, the goddess of Truth and Karma.

This is why it is so imperative to connect with our own heart center during these turbulent times. We may not have control over the actions of others. What we do have control over are our own hearts and minds. And even if that seems like a small thing in comparison, each and every heart contributes to the whole. Retrograde Mercury is bringing us back and back to the very center of our essential being: Heart, Mind, Conscience, Truth, Spirit, that place where we connect with the All. Traveling with Mercury in boundless Pisces and the True North Node, we are being reminded of the truth of our existence, but the evolutionary purpose of the soul in incarnation.

This is not something that can be conveyed in words, which would only diminish the magnitude of the moment. This is something that is felt and experienced on a very deep level, and cannot be easily described. Pisces is a sign that goes beneath the words, beyond the things that we see, and to the very heart and essence of it all. And it is this that is meant to guide us through the chaos. What a glorious opportunity to connect with that which is nothing less than Spirit. May we allow that to guide us in our decisions going forward.

On March 7th, the Sun and Mercury will meet for the inferior conjunction of Mercury at 16º Pisces 53’. The inferior conjunction of Mercury is the nascent beginning of the next Mercury cycle, seeded in the midst of its retrograde journey. It is at this point in the Mercury cycle that Mercury’s outer effectiveness is diminished, but its inner essential nature is at its height. The subtle insights that Mercury brings us this week, albeit soft and quiet, is significant for our inner growth, awareness and the development of understanding and wisdom. In order to experience the voice in the silence, we need to be still and present, for this voice only speaks in subtleties, symbols, dreams and whispers. Especially so when Mercury is in Pisces.

The current Inferior conjunction of Mercury is made all the more profound due to its conjunction to the North Node as well as its trine to stationing Jupiter. Whenever Jupiter makes its direct station, it is preceded by a trine from the Sun, as it did so on March 5th. On March 9th, retrograde Mercury makes its own trine to Jupiter, seemingly instilling hope and anticipation for the possibilities that are capable of unfolding. It is not only Mercury that is speaking to us through the heart. Jupiter, the planet of morals, ethics and justice insinuates itself into our hearts as well. You can just feel its presence growing, as humanity as a whole is moving forward, led by this ethos.

Every choice has a long afterlife of consequences. No one can know the eventual outcome of any decision. All you can do is make the best choice you can make in the moment. ~ Cassandra Clare

During the retrograde phase of Jupiter which began on November 11th, we have been internalizing the qualities of Jupiter in Cancer. We become that much more conscious of unethical and immoral behaviors. This led to us also examining our own responses, and whether or not we are honestly living up to our own standards of ethical conduct. In this way, the 4 month annual journeys with retrograde Jupiter are essential for our own spiritual and moral growth. And if we have done our work during the retrograde phase, then we should at this point, be ready and able to put our most salient beliefs and understanding into application in our daily lives.

On March 10-11th, Jupiter stations at 15º Cancer 05’, ending its retrograde phase, allowing us to proceed with our aspirations, hopes and a clearer vision for the future. Jupiter urges us to do the right thing. In the sign of Cancer we are asked to think not only of ourselves, but our neighbors, our community, and all those who care for and contribute to the growth and expansion of these. Jupiter by nature is magnanimous and inclusive. However, even tolerant Jupiter can become corrupted through arrogance, grandiosity and greed. It is at its station that we are asked to consider what is not only best for our own individual aspirations, but which would also be for the greater good of the whole.

And we are constantly being guided to do so. The more receptive we are to this inner guidance on these deep and inspirational levels, the more on track we will be with fulfilling the behests of the soul. To ignore the cries of conscience, to deny our connection to the collective, or to act without thought for the greater good of humanity is nothing less than a corruption of our own humanity.

On a personal level, Jupiter’s station direct can allow the pieces of our lives to come together in such a way that we can now proceed with certain hopes and aspirations that had been put on hold when Jupiter entered its retrograde phase. May Jupiter fulfill our most heartfelt wishes in only the best ways.

I do not say that artists cannot be seers, inspired: that the AWEN cannot come upon them, and the god speak through them. Who would be an artist if they did not believe that that happens? If they did not know it happens , because they have felt the god within them use their tongue, their hands? Maybe only once in their lives. But once is enough. ~ Ursula K. LeGuin

On Friday Venus enters Aries where she will insinuate herself into the Saturn/Neptune conjunction standing in the background of our lives. The recent conjunction of Saturn and Neptune symbolically represents the end and beginning of an era in some department of our lives. As parts of our lives are coming to some sort of conclusion and closure, we are also given the opportunity to become the architects of the next stage of our lives.

It is not only retrograde Mercury aiming to inspire and connect us to spirit on these very deep and significant levels. It is also Neptune at this very first degree of Aries. And as Venus comes to Neptune this week she aims to open our hearts to the divine. To dream the perfect dream, to imagine the most imaginable outcomes. And to allow the god to speak through them.

However, Neptune can also lead us down the garden path of delusional false lights, and wistful fantasies when combined with Venus in this way. Neptune is not of this earth. And so is difficult to translate Neptune into real life situations. Whether fantasy or divine inspiration, Saturn’s influence in this equation aims to peel the rose colored lenses from our eyes so that we can see things as they actually are, not as we may wish and/or even fear them to be. Saturn tests our dreams for veracity.

But it is also Saturn that allows us to make those visions a closer and more achievable reality. For when we know and see the truth of a situation, we know precisely what we are dealing with. We need to know what our limitations are, what resources are or are not available, what tools are at our disposal in order to become the visionary and yet also practical architects of the next stage of our journey. It’s not only about dreaming the dream, it’s about what it would actually cost and take to live it.

This week is packed with all sorts of subliminal messages aiming to connect us with the behests of the soul. But also interlaced with all of this is Hope. And that is true even in the face of the extraordinary events of the previous week. May hope, conscience and the behests of the soul lead us to make only the best choices over the weeks ahead.
