Soul Relationships; What They Are and How They Can Sometimes Cause a Breakup

By Gerrit Gielen | Source

Sometimes you meet someone and immediately feel that it is different. It is deeper. It’s as if you have known each other long before this lifetime. You experience a sense of recognition that transcends your earthly personality, and your heart opens in a way you cannot explain. This is what we call a soul relationship.

A soul relationship is exactly what its name suggests. It is a connection between two souls. It exists before personalities, egos, and life stories take shape. A soul relationship is timeless and woven into the very fabric of the universe.

When you recognize such a relationship, you realize there is an awareness you have within you which is greater and more powerful than your everyday self. It is the awareness of your soul. The fact that you feel this connection signifies something profound, which is that you have a consciousness operating within you that extends far beyond the ego.

These kinds of soul relationships are never accidental. They serve a purpose, which is to expand the soul consciousness of those involved. It has consequences, however. Your consciousness loosens its identification with the personality and gradually aligns itself with something deeper. It aligns with who you truly are.

The Impact of the Soul

In a soul relationships, in a sense, the soul is born on Earth. Everything built upon fear and control comes under pressure. Old structures begin to crack. One of those structures is the traditional form of marriage or partnership as we know it.

In a conventional relationship, partners are frequently placed into boxes: roles, expectations, and unspoken rules. When one person steps outside that box, fear, jealousy, or anger can quickly arise. This is not how it’s supposed to be.

A soul relationship works in the opposite way. It is built on unconditional love. Its deepest desire is not to hold on to the other person, but to set them free—to help them grow, flourish, and become fully themselves. Possession is inconceivable. The soul knows no fear of loss, because a soul relationship is eternal and timeless; the inner bond exists independently of circumstances and forms.

The soul is rooted in the unconditional love of the universe and is free from fear. Therefore, structures based on fear are fundamentally foreign to its nature.

When Love Collides with Structure

This is where tensions can often arise. The conflict emerges when a soul relationship manifests as a romantic relationship and that romantic relationship, in accordance with the expectations of the personalities involved, develops into a traditional partnership. The soul’s desire for freedom and growth then clashes with the limiting framework of the personality.

The light of the soul collides with the fear that makes itself known when we hold on to another person, claim them, and sometimes unconsciously reduce them to a possession. When we speak of my wife or my husband, that small word my often carries a subtle sense of ownership born from fear. Ownership does not belong to the realm of the soul. The soul knows only unconditional love—eternal and timeless.

At its core, this conflict is an inner process projected outward. The light of the soul touches old fears: fear of loss, fear of change, fear of not being enough.

If one of the partners is unwilling to engage in this inner process, a breakup becomes inevitable. The soul cannot be confined within a partner’s fear-based ideas about what a relationship should be even when that partner is a soulmate.

The Invitation

Allowing a soul relationship into your life means choosing what love truly is, rather than what tradition says it should be. This asks something of us, which is a willingness to let go of old, fear-based ideas about love and relationships. To avoid separation, we must release our assumptions about how relationships are supposed to be. This requires trust—in life and love itself. Only then can the beautiful dance of two souls fully unfold on Earth. A dance without chains, without claims, sustained solely by the intention to uplift one another.

When two souls dance together in freedom, something extraordinary emerges. A powerful, high vibration is created—one that reaches far beyond what a single person can generate alone. It becomes a gift to Earth itself, a living example of what becomes possible when love is no longer based on fear, but on freedom and growth.

There Is No End

An ordinary relationship can end; a soul relationship cannot. The bond is timeless. And the growth you give one another remains forever.

Do you dare?

Do you dare let go of old patterns and allow the dance of your soul to come forth?

If so, a love awaits that not only illuminates your own life but brings more light to the world around you.

    Ok. I am chill now.

Hugh Laurie – Let Them Talk.

He did it, along with sitting in front of my painting with the same title. A painting inspired by the song, not for sale, my own private collections.

The question of wonderment : How did I actually paint the 2 gramophones in it? A dulcephone horn gramophone at that????

    Wonder…wonder… wander off to studio….

    Note to self:

Different individuals, different continents, different life paths, yet…when I saw and sensed that the energy in the field and my own surrounding was dampened except the area where Messi sat leisurely on the grass and in front of him was gloriously lightened up, I knew in my heart a brand new era has been ushered in…to stay, replacing the worn out old.

I do know also that there will be lots of noise, screaming, tantrums etc… but damnnn… this is the worst noise and tantrum I ever had to witness. Figured I went on to utube for some fun listening to songs instead. Nope. There too the noise and tantrums shoved up to immediate viewing. Press conference this, press conference that and really… by THE victorious team at that?

Went straight to La Copa De La Vida. Blasted it max on my balcony.

    There. Self, chill.

“A soul relationship is timeless and woven into the very fabric of the universe.”

    Yup.

“When you recognize such a relationship, you realize there is an awareness you have within you which is greater and more powerful than your everyday self. It is the awareness of your soul. The fact that you feel this connection signifies something profound, which is that you have a consciousness operating within you that extends far beyond the ego.”

    A humbling realization.

Indeed. They serve a very important purpose of aligning us with who we truly are. Easier to be a follower, a belief I held for a long time, until the non romantic soulmate marching in.

They served a purpose, yes…but it takes times and effort and pain and tears and etc to becoming who we truly are.

In fact, after 28 years, and the soulmate had long moved on to around the globe, it has only recently been revealed to me whats all the pain and tears of becoming were about thru….World Cup 2026.

It is not just about football or Lionel Messi, it is about me and everything beyond. I was given a prewiew of my life movie since 1998 to 2026.

World Cup 1998 the song La Copa De La Vida heard around the WORLD. 1998… my ascension journey began.

WC 2002 and 2004 were about what I fought for… a world leads by higher heart and higher intelligence. Was aware of Messi entering the arena then and recognized him being the natural talent visionary footballer after Ronaldinho of Brazil. Ofcourse am not the only one to RECOGNIZE that in him…and was marked, trampled, bullied etc from all sides in every move he made. A José Mourinho even ordered his team to use everything to suffocate, to hurt, to stop him. A Pepé even gone as far as stepping and crunched on Messi’s hand when he was down after being tripped. Later when Pepé was asked why he gave Messi such a hard time, his reply: ” When you play against Messi, you play against history. I want to be in that history, even when I have to be a villain.”

That…is exactly the kind of human and their lazy ass parasitic mentality and behaviour I had dealt with too since 1998 to 2026.

World Cup 2026 for me not just about football or Messi. I only watched the recorded match 2 nights ago, just the part a foul committed by Enzo Fernandez and the trophy presentation. To me…I sensed and saw how dampened the energy in the field. The part where it looked bright and light thru my sight was when Messi sat leisurely on the grass, taking all in, facing his supporters. And I laughed when he and his team stood with his back facing the dampened Spain’s. victory celebration.

It was then I understood why WORLD CUP 2026 was shoved into my awareness. Tears rolled down my cheeks, 28 years is a very very very long time, from La Copa De La Vida 1998 to World Cup 2026. From meeting my soulmate doing his purpose up to watching Messi. A bright illuminated white feather floated down from nowhere on my roof into my view sitting on balcony, crying…. at 7:30pm.

Really? Football, WC, Messi…to show me my awakening journey up until 2026? “YOUUU” got a weird sense of humor!

    “CHUCKLES AND CHUCKLING”
    ensued…

    ❤️
