The Blue Avians: Beyond the Personal Story

Channel: Octavia Vasile | Source

Dear ones,

The way is different from what you have learned, because you have been taught to look at yourself through the person, while the person is only a small expression of what you are.

You have learned to search within your history for the explanation of yourself, to look at what happened to you, what you received, what you lost, who loved you, who hurt you, what you became, and what you still wish to become. In this way, the personal story becomes the center from which you meet reality, and everything that happens is interpreted according to this center.

Yet what you are exists before the story.

The one who says, “This is my life, this is my wound, this is my desire, this is my path,” is itself something that can be observed. Look closely at this, because what can be observed cannot be the deepest place from which you observe.

This is where the way begins.

Turn your attention from the story toward the one who is aware of the story. Turn from what changes toward that which sees the change. Turn from the movement of the mind toward the vastness in which the movement appears.

You call this leaving the ego, yet leaving the ego simply means that the person ceases to be the center of reality.

You still have a name, a body, relationships, memories and a human life, while your attention rests deeper than all of them. You begin to see that the person is moving through awareness, while awareness itself remains open, silent and untouched by the many forms passing through it.

Stay there.

When a thought comes, see the thought. When an emotion comes, feel the emotion. When an old memory rises, see the memory. When desire appears, see desire moving through you. Become interested in the space that receives all of these, because this space is closer to what you are than anything you can say about yourself.

The human mind has created many paths toward truth, yet truth is already here before the path appears.

Close your eyes and allow the world you have constructed through names, meanings and stories to become quiet. Go deeper than the image you carry of yourself. Go deeper than the one who wishes to become spiritual, healed, awakened or complete.

At first you may call it silence. Then you may call it presence. Then even these words become unnecessary, because you begin to recognize something that has always been here and has always been looking through your eyes.

This is where reality starts.

Reality begins where your interpretation of reality becomes silent enough for you to see.

A tree is there before you call it a tree. Life is there before you decide what it means. You are there before you remember your name.

Go toward this simplicity.

You have spent enough time learning who you are through the story. Now learn to see from beyond it.
