April looks set to be a month of breakthrough as we begin to find a new way through the maze of life in order to bask freely in the sunlight once again. In many ways, it feels as though we have been going through a long period of hibernation as we have been ‘restrained’ physically, spiritually and energetically. It’s hard to articulate, but at times it has felt as though invisible tethers have been preventing us from connecting wholeheartedly and consciously to the bigger picture. As a result, some of us have retreated deeply within, and there has been a great deal of reflection and contemplation, as well as a good smattering of angst.
The angst is possibly more a collective emotion, as there are waves upon waves of it flooding in from many different directions and it’s almost palpable at the moment. There seems to be a real air of tension and the more sensitive amongst us have found it difficult to keep it at bay as it has permeated every pore.
Travelling so deeply within is not always an easy thing to do because it involves facing the mirror of the soul and looking at every aspect of ourselves: the good stuff, as well as the not so good stuff. Whilst there are some who may not feel they have anything other than good stuff within, surely we all have a mixture, as that’s what makes us human? We are the accumulation of a lifetime of experiences and emotions, yet we are also more than the sum of the parts.
As we each continue to let go of beliefs, thoughts and ideas that no longer serve a positive purpose in our lives, there is a sense that we are finally beginning to feel lighter and more energised as we create more space in all areas of life. As we take the time to breathe deeply into the space we’ve created, we each have an opportunity to take stock of the period of hibernation we’ve been through, both personally, and collectively. At the same time, we can begin to look ahead in order to re-shape and re-define our true priorities. The things that once seemed so important have faded away as we have reconnected with the simpler things in life once again – the power of a seeing a smile (not a mask), a hug, sharing a meal with those close. It was only by missing such things that many realised how valuable they are. So many have sacrificed so much and, as the tendrils of hope begin to reach towards the light, a wave of optimism is beginning to radiate brightly.
In many ways this is also a time of awakening as we are not only realising the importance of the simpler things in life, but we have also started to consider our true priorities. Is living to work truly what makes our soul sing or is working to live now more desirable? Balance is key as we each need to find ways to live a more balanced life, to live in harmony with others and to realise that we are a part of an ecosystem that needs us to respect and honour the world in which we all live.
In addition, it’s time to be more awakened in every aspect of life, to notice the people we walk past each day, to smile at the cashier in the shop, or to lift our heads up from our phones to absorb the world around us. Connection and interconnection are the forces that unite us, but living in the virtual world can lead to a deep disconnection and isolation.
So, it’s important to pause, to reflect, to notice and to breathe deeply. In short, it’s time to be more aware and to wholeheartedly reconnect to the inspiration and creativity that resides within us all. The more willingly we breathe into life, the more life will breathe into us…
For now, I wish you all kinds of wonderful.
As you continue to look beyond the boundaries of your life, there is a sense that you are beginning to reflect more wholeheartedly on your true priorities and on the aspects of life that make your heart sing, as well as those areas of life that are more draining and depleting. You have spent a long time trying to be everything to everyone and trying to carry all of those ought’s, must’s, responsibilities and duties along the way. Whilst you are skilled a carrying such a great load, the time has come to ask yourself if you truly want to keep doing so. Carrying so much for so many means there is not much time left for you to be yourself and to let your gifts flow freely. The fire in your soul longs to dance in the flames of life as you explore your creativity and open up to letting your heart sing.
In many ways, letting your heart sing may feel like a whimsical aspiration as life has been much more grounded in reality for you lately as you have had a lot on your plate, yet the spark within you still burns brightly and you intuitively know you are ready to expand the boundaries of your life in order to live more consciously. Whilst you have achieved a great deal in your life and helped so many, you have long realised that happiness comes from how you feel, not from what you do or achieve. Of course, accomplishments and achievements do bring you a sense of satisfaction, but you seem ready for something deeper and more heartfelt now. It’s as though you have reached a stage of your life where many of the things that once felt so important to you now leave you feeling a little hollow and empty, and you are ready to feel more vibrant, joyful and connected…
As you continue to contemplate how to achieve more balance in your life, you are beginning to explore some new avenues and pathways in order to achieve this. You have been hovering on the brink of change for quite some time now, but there is a sense of shift as the winds of change gather momentum and you can feel your energy levels rising as a result. April looks set to be a month of inspiration and inventiveness as you feel the tingles of shift and transformation within your heart and soul; every one of the millions of cells of your being are sensing this and opening up to living more wholeheartedly and consciously than ever before. The gap between where you are now and where you feel you need to be is changing shape as you let go of the pressure you’ve been placing on yourself to do more, achieve more and be more. In short, you are finally realising that you cannot measure your happiness or success by the size of that gap as this only leaves you focusing on what you haven’t done or haven’t achieved which then leads to a deeper sense of imbalance and lack.
What matters most is where you are now; being conscious in each and every moment is your way of embracing more balance. So, it’s time to begin the process of re-evaluating your dreams and goals, and to stop pushing yourself quite so hard to achieve perfection. Whilst you will always strive to achieve your goals, sometimes being more loving, compassionate and understanding with yourself actually achieves more than cracking the whip and pushing yourself so hard. Of course, you need to reach a place of peace with this in your own time, but the process has started and it’s now in your hands to re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out….
As your outlook continues to shift exponentially there is a sense that you are seeking out new ways to thrive and flourish in the ebb and flow of your life. You have started to let go of perceptions and beliefs that have defined you for so long and realised that the person you used to be and the person you are now are different in so many ways. Of course, everyone evolves and grows, but the change in you feels somehow more profound and intense as though you have almost completely outgrown the old you and have built some new foundations which have already transformed you on all levels. Whilst you have learned so much from your past experiences, you seem ready now to shake yourself loose from those perceptions and beliefs in order to embrace a new way of living and being. You have been treading water for such a long time that the idea of such change may feel daunting or overwhelming, but intuitively you have sensed this moment coming and know you are ready for something new.
You have a tendency to doubt yourself and your skills, but it seems clear that your foundations are sturdier and more robust than ever before, so there’s a need for you to stop doubting yourself so much! Over the years, you have unearthed a great deal about your inner workings and faced the depths of your soul on more than one occasion, but despite the challenges you have faced, you still struggle to see your resilience, strength and courage. In order to achieve a deeper sense of peace in your life, there is a need for you to believe in yourself and to realise that you add so much value to the world. So, take a deep breath and ride the waves of change you have created in order to live the best life possible…
Your life has been on fast forward for quite some time now as you keep on keeping on. In some ways, being busy has been a comfort to you as being still and quiet feels awkward and creates feelings of restlessness and edginess. Instead of asking yourself why you feel this way, you seem to prefer keeping on keeping on, staying busy and keeping your mind full of chatter. Yet, at the same time, you are beginning to yearn more deeply for an opportunity to rest and to change the pace of your life! It seems clear that you need to take some time to think about what you truly want in your life, to explore any resistance and to find a sense of peace with your choices. April looks set to be a month to focus on the concept of inner cohesion as you open up to allowing a stronger sense of yourself to emerge and flow free.
In some ways, your inner and outer worlds feel at a tangent to each other as the life you find yourself living isn’t quite the life you connect with in your heart and soul, so it’s really important for you to find a deeper sense of unity and cohesion on all levels. Perhaps the biggest single aspect for you to explore is a long-held belief that you are still a long way from achieving happiness as you still have so much to do, see or achieve. Yet, is the accomplishment of your life ‘to do’ list really the correct measure for happiness as the list continually grows and evolves with each passing day? Just the belief that happiness is on the horizon keeps it out of your reach so there is a need for you to shift your focus away from everything you still need to do and instead focus on everything you are now…
April looks set to be a month of self-awareness, self-compassion and self-belief as you begin to feel a surge of inspiration rising up from deep within your heart and soul, bringing you more clarity and vision than ever before. You have gazed deeply into the mirror of your soul and looked beyond your everyday life in order to gain a stronger sense of purpose and direction. You have been hovering on the periphery of change for quite some time, but the tides are now shifting in a favourable direction and you are readying to up anchor and sail towards pastures new. Although the finer details seem less clear, you intuitively know it’s time for change and you feel ready to embrace something different. It’s important for you to open up to self-compassion and self-belief as a part of this process though as you do have a tendency to be hard on yourself and to doubt yourself, and this is a time for you to know that you have exactly what you need in order to flourish and thrive.
Let your inner fires re-ignite your resilience and courage, and let yourself bask in the warm glow and realise that any doubt creates shade and stops you from shining brightly and being the best you can be. This isn’t the same as being self-centred or self-focused, it’s simply being open-hearted, tender and more positive about yourself and your gifts. For a long time now you have tried to be everything to everyone at the cost of being everything to yourself. As the tides continue to turn, you can now see that being everything to yourself is a win-win situation as it also means you can truly be more to others. As the inspiration surges up from deep within you try to let it flow freely and see where it takes you as you journey into unchartered waters…
As you continue to focus on where you are now rather than on where you are not, you have realised just how harshly you judge yourself at times when you feel like you have failed to live up to the very high expectations you have for yourself. You have set the bar so high in your own life that it’s almost beyond the possible to reach it. Of course, intuitively you know that nothing is impossible, but you are now realising that your inner critic isn’t the source of your motivation to do more and achieve more, this actually comes from the part of you that’s far more laid back and tender; that part of you that would tell a friend in the same situation to be thrilled with their achievements, to be proud of their contribution and to be happy at how much they have evolved. Yet, when it comes to applying this to your own life, suddenly you apply new harsher rules, and your inner critic takes over. This isn’t about rolling over and accepting second best, nor is it about giving up, it’s actually about being more self-aware and recognising all that you are, rather than all that you are not. There is a definite theme arising!
It’s easy to focus on the things you haven’t achieved and on the gap between where you are now and where you feel you need to be, but this intensifies a sense of lack, and a feeling of keeping the potential for satisfaction or joy out of arms reach. This has been a hard path for you as you have always put yourself under pressure to excel and to achieve perfection. Whilst this has enabled you to accomplish a great deal, you are ready now to celebrate all that you are, to let go a little and to find joy in every moment…
As you continue to connect to more stillness in your life, it seems you have triggered a cascade of change within your heart and soul connected to your true priorities and goals. As you have come to know, it’s often the fleeting glimpses of stillness, those moments of peace, that give you the biggest moments of insight and inspiration, and this has helped you to learn how to live with the ebb and flow of the maelstrom of your inner world. To anyone else, your maelstrom is chaotic, busy and frenetic, but to you it’s just your natural way of being. You have spent a long time trying to ‘fix’ this though as you have been so aware of how different you are to others, but you have now realised it’s an important part of your essence as it’s the force that makes you so vibrant, connected and aware. As a result, you have stopped trying to ‘fit in’ and be like everyone else and instead opened up wholeheartedly to your uniqueness and flair.
Sometimes being a little different can feel like a lonely place to be, but the more you have opened up to the stillness in life alongside embracing your maelstrom, the more you have realised just how interconnected you truly are. So, instead of trying to re-shape and re-define your inner world to fit into the life you felt you ought to live, you are beginning to set yourself free from those expectations in order to be yourself and to love yourself for it. For you, inner peace comes from your willingness to accept your true nature, to love yourself and to let your essence flow freely. April looks set to be a month to go with your true flow, to honour your gifts and to let your feisty, vibrant and colourful inner landscape create exciting new possibilities on your path ahead…
April looks set to be a month for contemplation and reflection as you ponder the path you’ve walked, the path you’re walking and the path you’ve yet to walk. Although you try to keep your focus on the present moment as much as possible, it’s hard not to look back or to try to gaze ahead as both help to bring you a stronger sense of self, as well as a clearer awareness of where you are in life. Your capacity to see beyond the ordinary means you recall so much more from past events and, as a result, your experiences seem richer and more ‘alive’. It’s as though you see life through a kaleidoscope and see, hear, smell and taste everything in much more detail. Whilst this can sometimes be overwhelming, it also enables you to create a deeper understanding of both yourself and your life.
As a result, it’s clear to see why you would want to apply these principles when looking at the path ahead of you, but it’s not so easy to add texture and depth to things that haven’t happened yet. The more you try to do this, the more you can feel disappointed that you’re unable to carve out a clearly defined path to walk, but it’s important to realise that the future isn’t set in stone, it’s a moveable force, and what may or may not happen changes with each passing moment. Therefore, the more you try to shape this, the less fluid it becomes. This isn’t the same as having dreams or goals or having a sense of anticipation of what you would like to see when you turn the next corner in life, it’s simply allowing the process to flow more freely and to let the details form in their own time. So, breathe deeply into the present moment and believe in yourself…
As you continue to explore the theme of change in your life, there is a sense that you are currently standing between two (or maybe three) distinct phases or chapters of your life. It’s a bit like standing at a crossroads and you have a choice of going forwards, left, right, backwards, upwards or downwards. You see beyond the ordinary and you thrive when exploring the paths less travelled in life. The phases of your life seem to have clear boundaries, but they are also blurred into one big picture at the same time which can make it hard for you to gain a strong sense of clarity as to what to do next. Part of you might choose left or right, part of you wants to go forwards or upwards, and there’s a part of you that wants to go in every direction at once! Of course, there is also a part of you that wants to completely abandon the path and travel off-road into unchartered terrain.
It’s this latter part of you that has created a longing rising up from deep within your heart and soul calling you to grab life with both hands and to begin a brand-new chapter. Yet, there is still a part of you that’s very much connected with the current chapter and to the part of you looking back to past chapters and this can make you reluctant to spring forth. However, it’s important to note that creating change and moving in a new direction doesn’t eradicate the past, it just builds a different present. The past is always with you as you carry it within you, and it isn’t an anchor that keeps you tethered, it also has the ability to set you free in order to fly high and soar towards your hopes and dreams. There is no need to follow one path or any path, just your path…
April looks set to be a month for some inspirational and creative change as you have turned an important corner on the journey of your life. For a long time now you have been treading water, keeping on keeping on, trying to get from where you are to where you feel you need to be. However, you have started to look at the bigger picture and realised that where you feel you need to be isn’t actually where you thought it was! It seems that you have been working so hard at trying to be everything to everyone that you have lost sight of your true priorities and goals. More recently you have started to become more mindful and aware of your sense of Self and true essence, and this has allowed you to re-think the ways in which you live your life. You have a pioneering spirit, but this often gets lost in the needs, wishes and plans of others as you give so much of yourself to so many.
Whilst this is a part of your nature, there is a sense that you have become acutely aware of the imbalance this can cause and the need to honour your own needs more. So, the more you align with your true essence, the more clarity and confidence you will gain when it comes to setting boundaries and giving yourself some much-needed time and space. This isn’t selfish or self-focused, it’s simply necessary in order for you to flourish and thrive as you cannot continue to give and over-give without feeling depleted as a result. You matter! It’s time to accept this now and to stop resisting the inner calling to ease up a little and be more self-aware and self-compassionate. This is also a time to reclaim your power and your focus, and to let go of doubt and resistance as you find new ways to shine…
The theme of balance looks set to remain the central theme throughout April as you begin to sort the wheat from the chaff when it comes to the things in your life that nourish you and the things that don’t. Whilst you may not be able to completely eradicate or walk away from the things that deplete you, you can shift your relationship with them and shift the dynamic, so you are less weighed down by them. Of course, when you’re standing in the middle of a heady mix of choices, options, ideas, thoughts, beliefs, opportunities and possibilities, it can be hard to know quite where to start. Yet, you are not a powerless pawn in the game of life, you are a wise, courageous and innovative soul with a strong sense of intuition and inner knowing. So, when life pulls you in different directions, when you pause, breathe deeply and re-centre, you find your feet and your inner power.
Although your mind is often whirring and churning at a million miles an hour as you have a multi-levelled and multi-layered awareness, you also have an innate gift for creating tranquillity and stillness within your heart and soul to enable you to find balance and to be ready to embrace the change in your life. Even when you feel overwhelmed, when you pause and breathe deeply, the focus shifts and you find clarity; just believe in yourself and in your own ability to guide yourself through life. Whilst the waters may still be muddied as you cannot know exactly what lies ahead, you have the tenacity, strength and creativity to find new ways to thrive even when the way forward has yet to be revealed. It’s time now to step back from some of life’s confusion and to pause in order to re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out.
Loving yourself, honouring yourself and owning your power all continue to take centre stage throughout April as you move towards consciously embracing the moment and, in the process, breaking free from the stagnancy that has formed in your life. You are beginning to see both yourself and your life from a new perspective and whilst this has involved some fairly radical personal revelations in connection to your beliefs and ideals, there is a sense that you are moving away from feelings of uncertainty and moving towards a place of knowing and wisdom. You have felt overloaded with responsibility lately and this has thwarted your creativity and stifled your intuitive flow. As a result, you have almost felt disconnected from your usually vibrant sense of inner knowing which has left you feeling discombobulated and disorientated, like a piece of driftwood being carried along by the currents. Intuitively you know that you are not driftwood, but it’s easy to see why you have been feeling so overwhelmed given the ups and downs you’ve had lately.
So, instead of feeling like driftwood, it’s time to take a big deep breath and to reconnect to your inner strength and power in order to transform that piece of driftwood into a majestic and beautiful ship. Stop doubting yourself and start channelling your kaleidoscope of wisdom towards living the best life possible. The more you take the time to re-centre yourself, the more you will reconnect to the effervescent fizz rising up from the core of your being. This is a time to think about your goals and dreams in order to state a new declaration of intention as to what you want to do next. You are opening up a new chapter in your life, and it feels exciting and amazing to have the pen in your hand to write your own story in your own way. Your life is in your hands.
