In the Northern Hemisphere the Solar cycle of the Sun in Taurus is the Growing Time of our Medicine Wheel. The seeds that were planted at the Budding Trees Time (April) are now the plants pushing their heads through the earth to grow and expand. But sometimes it involves struggle to try to create the new. The Astrological Earth in Scorpio reminds us to weed out the garden so what is of true value can emerge.
Our Animal Totem guide for Taurus is Beaver, clearing the clutter and building the new. For Scorpio we are guided by Snake, shedding the old, transformation, and rebirth. In the Southern Hemisphere the Sun in Taurus is the Time of Frosts and Inner transformation. You are guided by Snake, healing and renewal, and for the Earth in Scorpio, you are guided by Beaver, releasing the old and creating the new.
The theme when the Sun visits Taurus is personal values, beliefs, and self-worth. It is associated with personal finances and resources and inner talents. It can often focus too much on material security and ignore the support from spirit. Its shadow is to come from a sense of Lack rather than Abundance. Scorpio’s theme is joint resources and other people’s financial support. Scorpio’s shadow is to try to manipulate and control to get what it wants. We are definitely seeing the latter in the world at this time. But Taurus is associated with the Beauty Way and Scorpio is healing at the deepest level and transformation. That is the promise of this Solar cycle. We are guided by Venus in Pisces, love, harmony, and The Oneness. She will meet with Neptune on April 27 (spiritual illumination) Jupiter on April 30 (expansion of our spiritual vision) and sextile Pluto in Capricorn on May 01 (healing and transformation). Pluto is the guide for the Earth in Scorpio. Venus enters Aries on May 02 (inspired new beginnings).
While the Sun visits Taurus it activates the Tarot Constellation of The Hierophant, becoming the Wise Teacher. Along with Scorpio it is found on the 4th Ray of Harmony through Conflict or Harmony through Beauty and Peace. Taurus is the sign of Buddha Consciousness, the Middle Way and the Path of Loving Kindness. We do have a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus on April 30 (focus on what is of true value and importance) and a Scorpio Full Moon Lunar Eclipse May 15/16 (transformation and rebirth). Intense and challenging energies but with the promise of a new way
Namaste and blessings,
