Never Too Late

Pine.

Amazing just by discovering a song is titled about pine tips, nature, and human struggles/relationships... presented with poetic wording is not what makes me fall asleep finally after 48 hours nonstop processing.

As far as poetic wording goes, my dad's love letters to dragon lady would be a more interesting reread...if she still had them these days 😂. But... pine = home wins. Didnt even finish listening Ebiet singing it.

I will be alright from here out, even without my 3 "teachers" living in just a phone call away in the same neighborhood. Told my dad (his dead body at that time) that I would be alright, and he smiled. Cendy sent me "telegram" that I can do it, to transcend. Cak Pri...hmmm Cak Pri was Cak Pri was.

Cak Pri had limited quota for words. We met and shared a space in same art venue, accepted me as I am, what he showed as his way of caring is 👇

Video showcased Pak Adjat (Mr. Adjat) interviewed by our major tv news station. Glad he got his lifelong yearning of 5 minutes fame.

Pak Adjat was the oldest member of the art venue since its beginning. Before I applied to join, I made a short observation visit, and who would have better grasp of the venue's history and residents than the oldest resident himself. So I sat having conversation with him. Soon other residents gathered around us. I always feel edgy when surrounded by crowds of people, which... seemed to be my curse, for wherever I go, there the crowds gather, always at inconvenient timing.

To complicate the situation, a reporter from another major tv station, complete with a very ready cameraman, approached us.  The reporter specifically talking to me, said wanted to interview me about the art venue... while completely ignoring Pak Adjat and the other residents. I told the reporter no, that she got the wrong person. These people here are the residents, they are the ones she should be interviewing. It was as if she was either a deaf or someone who is suffering a rusting brain issue. Continued pontedly ignoring the other, continued nagging me, even ordered her cameraman to start rolling. I turned my head towards the cameraman, gave him a cold hard stare that said "DONT YOU DARE!". He understood, put his camera down. Again, I told the reporter that these people that she should be interviewing, not me. I am just a visitor here. She then replied okay..I will interview you as visitor.

Pak Adjat and the others were just silent, watching. At the reporter's last reply to me, I stood up, rearranged my chair, re-parked my butt facing the reporter, my eyes at the residents and the cameraman alternatively, while also continue talking to the residents. I willed my energy for them to work with me, ignoring the reporter completely. She and her cameraman left eventually.

At that time I didnt see Cak Pri anywhere around us.

When we first met after I was officially accepted in the venue, Cak Pri just nodded to me as acknowledgement, no niceties, no words exchange at all. But... I KNEW HE KNEW THAT I KNEW HE KNEW LANGUAGE OF ENERGY TOO.

Throughout my stay in the venue, what Cak Pri did for me without me asking him to was... everytime someone very very very negative approached me, he would position himself in the middle between us... noticably with Pak Adjat. Whatever he saw in him, he never divulged to me. I never question him either. Cak Pri had been a resident since 1992, he knows more than I do. I appreciated and valued his presence in those 3 short months I was among them.

On one of my revisiting the venue, Cak Pri and I met at the parking lot, introduced him to my bro, they shook hand and that is all.

If... my next revisiting the venue happens, I would like to meet his wife or his son at his studio. His wifey and son, we had met before, even shared several womanly conversations together.

Four years late to show my condolences is not too late, I hope...

If so, I'll apologize too, or.... shut up.

❤️
