Oh Boy..Oh Boy..Oh Boy!
Quote from Fanny on 09/10/2026, 4:48 PMLet me try to simplify what I was saying.
My parents are both of Chinese roots. Dad from Fujian, mom from Quan Dong. But only my dad was born in China. Mom born here. Both my maternal and paternal grandparents were born in China. They immigrated here long ago.
Allthough my mom is the prettiest with big eyes and high nose among her 15 siblings, no... she is very Chinese.
My mentioning Germany was about my cousin from my father's side, she married a German and immigrated there some years ago. Our great grandmother whom we both never met, built a 15 bedroom house because its her biggest dream that all her descendants would one day return to China and live in that house. At mid 90 years of age, and tiny feet, she designed and supervised the workers all by herself. My dad, who is her most beloved grandson financed the building of the house, from start to finish, all by himself too. My dad knew his grandma's dream was impossible to happen, but my dad was great man like that. He honored and respected his mom and grandma fully.
As soon as the house completed, my great grandma passed away. The house left empty. Nobody in my family wants to live there.
Although it was my dad who provided the financial to build the house, we let one of our 2 remaining uncles to settle the house however he wishes. So I bugged my cousin in Germany to go live there in great grandma's mansion. My cousin doesnt speak, write or read Chinese, nor does she knows anything about China's history, culture, tradition etc. I knew she would refuse, but like I said I was bugging her. She asked what for? Told her we can try build a farm, get pigs, cows, chicken, goats, fishes, plant vegetables, plum blossom trees, watch Chinese opera all day everyday. She was not amused, called me sen qing bing( lunatic in mandarin) instead. I congratulated her. For a Chinese who doesnt speak, read, and write Chinese, she did a great job calling me sen qing bing!😁. To convince her of my truthful compliment, I sent her a video song by Wang Lee Hom titled " Zai Mei Bian " ( by the blossom )... a song sung by a Chinese American combining Chinese opera.
I deleted the video link coz it linked to the channel instead the song directly.
Thus my last comment of cursing 😂😂😂
